What owners report

Compiled from owner reports gathered Aug 2026. Sources are stated in the text; we never use retail-site reviews.

We assessed the Worm Factory 360 based on 45 owner reports from 2006 to 2025 across Reddit, blogs and forums.

As always there are some negative voices, but if you can find the Worm Factory 360 (supply seems limited) most owners agree you’ll have made a good choice. Longevity is usually good, with one owner using a Worm Factory 360 for up to 15 years, although another owner reported cracking issues with the tray edges after three years and three owners reported weak legs. If possible, keep it away from direct sun, as this leads to trays warping.

Fruit flies can be an issue if measures are not taken to avoid them, and the spigot can clog - but the castings produced were still praised by owners.

Moisture needs to be monitored, as otherwise it will dry out - as one owner found out when coming home to dead worms and another noted the top tray can dry out in hot weather. (While this may be partly due to the owner, I have left both my Vermihut and my home made bin for weeks without them drying out completely.) Another user, however, ran it for several years in a closet without any problems, so these issues may be related to placement.
